EMPLOYER’S OBLIGATION TO PERFORM COVID-19 TESTS ON THE CDMX
We inform you that, on July 28, 2020, changes were published in the Mexico City Gazette regarding the employer’s obligation to perform COVID-19 tests on its employees in the following terms:
- Those companies with 100 or more employees will be required to test for SARS-CoV2 virus in polymerase chain reaction RT-PCR.
- These tests must be carried out on a weekly basis on at least 3% of the total staff physically working in the workplace.
- The test can be done individually or in a group. A group is defined as a test carried out on a maximum of 15 employees, taking samples from each of them and combining them into a single test. If the group test is positive, all persons in the group must be ordered to be tested individually.
- These tests and results must be reported to LOCATEL.
We are at your service if you have any questions.
